Cursed by disease

Amidst the milky waters
My face submerged in calm,
They placed the flowers upon my eyes
To shield me from the harm,
They sprinkled twigs from the forests wood
In hope the deed will commence,
And kept me safe from harm
In an aid for my own defence
They tempered with the waters
Not timid nor to cold,
And watch my form alter
From a dullness to something bold,
Black magic some would say
A witch at a devil’s demand,
A sacrifice of souls
To change my cards at hand,
But no sacrifice was mentioned
Nor did it take place,
I live with what I’m dealt
With courage i will face,
